Devoted supporters of the pop star are demanding that a man who breached a barrier and touched the actress during the recent Wicked: For Good launch be taken into custody or removed from Singapore.

A widely shared footage shows the person identified as Johnson Wen shoving aside camera operators and rushing toward Grande while the performers walked down a event pathway surrounded by supporters.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo immediately wrested the stunned performer away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being led away of the gathering by guards.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "free after being arrested", though court documents indicated that he was scheduled to attend court on the next day. It is unknown if he was faced legal action.

Record of Disruptions

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Troll Most Hated", has invaded a celebrity gathering. His Instagram account features recordings of him interrupting other high-profile occasions, including jumping on stage at the pop singer's Sydney show in June this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers concert in the city last year.

"There needs to be action taken against him as this is evidently a legal violation," wrote an Instagram follower, in a response to a video Mr Wen posted of his behavior.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" another Instagram user wrote.

Fans Show Disapproval Over Ariana's Past Trauma

Many followers blamed Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had spoken of experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder after a devastating incident at the finale of her spring 2017 performance in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and injuring numerous individuals.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" commented one more response on Instagram.

Some attendees also questioned guards at the premiere for not being sufficiently alert; while some called for digital services to ban Mr Wen's videos.

Reaction and Premiere Information

In videos spreading on the internet, Grande looked shocked when she was approached by the individual. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted consoling her while Mr Wen was led out by security.

Grande has remained silent on the incident, and the rest of the event carried on uninterrupted.

Many of Singapore supporters had lined up to meet the cast of Wicked

Many of attendees had gathered in a mass of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific premiere in a Singapore venue, including a number who had stood in line for as long as eight hours before it started.

The movie, to be premiered on November 21, is the follow-up of a dual version of the well-known theatrical production Wicked, which revolves around the unexpected friendship between two very different characters.

The production itself is a spin-off of the classic book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was dressed in a champagne pink sparkling outfit at the event while Erivo, who portrays the villainous character, wore a elegant ensemble decorated with roses.

They were joined by fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the highest-grossing film of 2024 in the UK, and scored ten Oscar nominations, earning a pair for excellent wardrobe and production design.
