The tenth week once more provided excitement, with a major surprise for the Bills proving the 'any Sunday can bring surprises' mantra that attracts so many people into the NFL

This outcome may have opened opportunities for the Patriots to move back into a leading position they formerly held, with a remaining games that gives them an advantage over their eight and two rivals

Over in the National Football Conference the Seahawks and Rams had perfect results to arrange a monster clash next week, while our player of the week is pursuing milestones as well as the MVP award

Analysis - Just a Bad Day for the Bills?

Josh Allen in action
Did Josh Allen attempt too much or was it just a poor performance for Buffalo?

Was it just an emotional comedown from defeating Kansas City the previous week or a deeper issue? This remains the question for the Buffalo team to address

The Buffalo squad had won seven in a row against the Dolphins but were second best from the start as the Miami team emerged as 30-13 victors in an eye-opening result - and performance

MVP quarterback Josh Allen only achieved the team's opening first down in the third period and first points in the final quarter - yes Miami had 10 days to prepare but it was nonetheless a significant failure laid by one of the NFL's best offenses

Tua Tagovailoa threw two touchdowns but running back Achane was the game-changing factor, with 225 combined yards and two scores

Containing the NFL's top running game was also key, with Cook and teammates recording just 86 yards, their lowest of the season and just over fifty percent their 161.5-yard season average

Additionally there were the three critical turnovers, and the pair from Josh Allen specifically. An interception in the end zone meaning a nine-minute possession yielded no points, and his final quarter fumble that the Dolphins turned into a touchdown just two plays

It was classic 'previous Bills teams' as they hurt themselves in the foot, getting into a deficit on defense and Allen attempting to do too much to dig his team from the situation - rather than the composed, disciplined, well-balanced Buffalo team we've seen this season

The Dolphins have demonstrated a varied performances this season so the jury's out on whether this is the beginning of a trend, but for the Bills they'll require an immediate bounce-back in a difficult matchup against the Buccaneers in week 11 as the New England are sneaking into a nice lead at the summit of the American Football Conference East

Spotlight - Patriots Identify Route to Surprise Top Seed

Speaking of the Patriots, they're among three different 8-2 squads in the NFL, all American Football Conference teams, but are they the best?

One could find flaws in New England, Denver and the Colts actually for feasting on the lesser sides, with just five of their combined 24 victories coming against teams with a winning record - and one example was the Colts beating the Broncos

Denver beat the champion Eagles in Philadelphia and are kings of the final quarter while Indy can rely on Taylor, but the New England including Sunday's win in Tampa to their prime time win in Orchard Park appears to be a statement

Their pair of losses came in recently appointed coach Mike Vrabel's initial three contests, with seven consecutive victories, just like the Broncos, from that point - but taking down Mayfield after the Buccaneers had a bye to prepare was huge

Maye's Most Valuable Player credentials continue to be discussed, and he definitely earns point for bravery after taking some hard tackles in Tampa Bay but persevering to steer his team to success

The defense is solid and first-year rusher TreVeyon Henderson exploded on game day with 147 yards and two exciting touchdowns of 55 and 69 yards - establishing himself as just the fifth different runner to break 22 miles per hour this year on his first score

While you can debate who 'the best' is statistically, the Pats should be favorites to finish with the best record due to their schedule - which includes just a single matchup against a successful opponent, although a huge one against Buffalo

Visiting Baltimore is also tough, but the Broncos have it more difficult in the AFC West division with the Chiefs to play twice, the Los Angeles Chargers (who might also challenge for first place but encounter the same problem) and also the Green Bay on the schedule

The Colts also face the Kansas City, and have the Seattle, San Francisco and two games with the five and four Jacksonville to contend with. There is a long way to travel but the door is available for a surprise top seed in the AFC

Next Week - Los Angeles and Seattle Set for Week 11 Showdown

Two teams with solid claims to be better than all of the three eight and two sides are NFC West opponents the Seattle and Los Angeles, who both scored forty points to reach 7-2 before next week's major meeting between the pair in Los Angeles

Both have won four in a row, have quarterbacks in Stafford and Sam Darnold playing at an elite level (although Sam Darnold had turnover issues on Sunday) with top receivers, and defenses allowing under 20 points a game

Each could realistically be undefeated as well - particularly the Los Angeles as their two defeats occurred in extra time against the 49ers and then that painful defeat in Philadelphia when they had a game-winning field goal with the final play blocked and returned by the Eagles for a touchdown

The Seahawks were also defeated to San Francisco, with a last-minute score in week one, before losing to the final play of the contest against the Buccaneers - so they are genuinely two of the top teams in the league

The upcoming game on Sunday could be the best of the season so far

Player of the Week - Taylor

Taylor could be on for a historic year after his incredible display in Germany - rushing for 244 yards, scoring three touchdowns and contributing an additional forty-two {receiving yards
